Community First Funding Allocation; a brief explanation with map.
The Community First Grant Programme has identified 13 wards within Hull which are eligible to receive their funding by setting up local panels to identify and address local needs. These wards were chosen by;
- Identifying Local Super Output Areas (LSOA’s) areas that fall within the 30% most deprived nationally (see red sections within map)
- Cross referencing these LSOA’s with those that have seen a 10% increase in Job Seekers Allowance claimants between May 2009 and May 2010.
- The LSOA’s which met both these criteria where then grouped into wards and if more than two were within a single ward funding was allocated to that ward (see green sections within map).
